From where it started, to where we are now.
The story of SELF began in 2018, halfway across the world, during an U17 Australian Schoolboys hockey tour to South Africa. It was the first time Nathan, Cam, and Jayden represented Australia together, and they formed a bond that started with a simple, recurring greeting: "How you going?" — "Self?" What began as a shorthand for "Good, yourself?" eventually took on a much deeper meaning for the trio. It became a metaphor for the authenticity that strengthened their friendship, ultimately inspiring them to create a brand that encourages others to simply "be your SELF."
From Armidale, NSW. Made the move to Perth in 2025 to join the Kookaburras squad. Landed in Shenton Park — his second home. Off the field, he's finished his Bachelor of IT and Cyber.
Perth-born. Kookaburras player. Helped Nathan and Jayden in different times with somewhere to land when they made the move west. He is the ultimate hobby enthusiast. Finishing his electrical trade through TAFE.
From Cairns, QLD. Moved across the country to join the Kookaburras. Also finishing his electrical trade through TAFE. Goes by Ako.
